University community reacting after Barrington student killed in crash

The Salve Regina University community is reacting after a former softball player and student from Barrington died in a crash early Thanksgiving morning.New Hampshire State Police said the crash happened early Thursday morning at the Portsmouth Traffic Circle and Route 1 Bypass South. Five hours after the crash, Drew Ceppetelli, 21, of Barrington, died at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.Ceppetelli was a student at Salve Regina University in Rhode Island and head softball coach Shauna Mulkerin confirmed to News 9 that she was an active member of her team.”She was the type of friend that everybody deserves to have and that everybody prays for, I will never have another friendship like I had with Drew, it was a one in a million. She’s a one in a million type of girl,” said roommate Mady Whittaker. Ceppetelli’s best friends and college roommates said they will always remember her kindness and positivity. “I think I just want people to remember how sweet she was and how positive she was and just her as a person and how great she was to everyone,” said roommate Alexis Coutu.University president Dr. Kelli Armstrong said in part in a message to the Salve Regina University community, “We join with Drew’s family and friends in mourning her tragic death and ask that you keep Drew and all who loved her in your thoughts and prayers.”

University president Dr. Kelli Armstrong said in part in a message to the Salve Regina University community, “We join with Drew’s family and friends in mourning her tragic death and ask that you keep Drew and all who loved her in your thoughts and prayers.”
