South Carolina: Orangeburg child safely located


UPDATE: Aspen Jeter has been safely located, according to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.Ravenell says that Aspen was found on Friday around 12:40 p.m. in Danville, Virginia, after authorities tracked her father, Antar Antoni0 Jeter, through two transactions that he made. Ravenell said that Antar was issued a warrant due to having connections in the murder of Aspen’s mother, Crystal Jumper.Antar was spotted in a blue 2015 Mazda car in the same area he made the transactions and was taken into custody by authorities in a hospital parking lot, according to Ravenell. Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said that at about noon on Thanksgiving, deputies were called to a home in the 200 block of Louise Drive to check on the person who lived there.Ravenell said a woman, who had not been heard from since Nov. 1, was found dead in the home. Investigating deputies said they learned the woman has a child named Aspen Jeter who was not found in the home.Anyone with any information on the child’s location or deceased person is asked to contact the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office at 803-534-3550 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.”If you have any information on the whereabouts of this child, please let us know,” Ravenell said. “You don’t have to give your name, but just give us what you know.”
