AND YOU’VE GOT SOME SNOW TOTALS FOR US. YEAH, IT’S IT’S A PRETTY SIGHT OUT THERE, ESPECIALLY AS WE HEAD CLOSER INTO THE HOLIDAY SEASON SOMETIMES. NICE TO GET A LITTLE BIT OF A WHITE BACKDROP ON THE TREES AND OUT IN THE GRASSY AREAS. AND THAT’S KIND OF WHAT WE HAVE THIS MORNING. SNOW TOTALS SO FAR TODAY. THIS IS JUST THROUGH THE MID-MORNING HOURS OR SO, PICKING UP ABOUT TWO INCHES HERE AT THE DES MOINES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. WE HAD OVER THREE AND A HALF INCHES DOWN TOWARDS OSCEOLA, CRESTING, COMING IN AT ABOUT TWO INCHES THERE. SOME SPOTS CLOSER TO THAT FOUR INCH MARK. OSKALOOSA WOULD BE ONE OF THOSE PLACES, TWO INCHES OF SNOW THERE IN PELLA. AND WE’LL CONTINUE TO GATHER IN THESE REPORTS AS THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SENDS THEM OFF TO US. BUT AGAIN, EVERYONE PRETTY MUCH IN THE RANGE THAT WE EXPECTED, ABOUT 1 TO 3 INCHES FALLING OVERNIGHT AND INTO THE MORNING HOURS TODAY. THE SNOW IS DWINDLING AT TIMES. WE’VE GOT A FEW SNOW SHOWERS BACK INTO WESTERN IOWA AND THEN WE’VE GOT A LITTLE BIT OF SNOW LEFT OVER BASICALLY ALONG THE HIGH 35 CORRIDOR HERE, SOME SHOWERS, SNOW SHOWERS STILL FALLING INTO PORTIONS OF STORY COUNTY, AMES LATER DOWN THROUGH ANKENY. AS YOU HEAD OUT TOWARDS MARSHALL COUNTY, JASPER COUNTY, WE SAW THE SNOW SHOWERS THERE OUT TOWARDS PLACES LIKE COOL FLAT, COLFAX, NEWTON, AS WELL AS PRAIRIE CITY AND THEN SOME LIGHT SNOW FALLING THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN DES MOINES. SO THE FLURRIES WILL BE HERE OFF AND ON, I THINK THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES A LOT CHILLIER. YESTERDAY, WE MADE IT INTO THE LOW FORTIES YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. TODAY I THINK WE STAY IN THE MID THIRTIES FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURE IN THE LOW TWENTIES SO IT’S A COLD DAY OUTSIDE BUNDLE UP IT’LL STAY CHILLY THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EVENING. I THINK THE CLOUDS ARE WITH US THROUGHOUT THE DAY TODAY. AND AGAIN, WE COULD SEE A FEW LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS FROM TIME TO TIME THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES DROP BACK INTO THE MID TWENTIES AS WE HEAD INTO THE EARLY PORTIONS OF THE DAY TOMORROW. SO SOME LEFTOVER SNOWFLAKES AROUND TODAY. TONIGHT TURNS COLD. SO ANY WET SPOTS OUT ON THE ROADWAYS THERE COULD CAUSE SOME ISSUES HERE LATE TONIGHT, ESPECIALLY EARLY TOMORROW MORNING AND THEN WEDNESDAY, SNOW SHOULD WRAP UP, BUT WE’VE GOT A LITTLE BIT OF ACTIVITY LEFTOVER FOR THE START OF THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY. I DON’T THINK IT’LL BRING MUCH ACCUMULATION, BUT THERE WILL BE SOME SNOWFLAKES FLYING, I THINK EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. SO FUTURE CASTS LOOKS LIKE THIS SNOW KIND OF WINDS DOWN HERE THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING HOURS TONIGHT. BUT CLOUDS REMAIN. AND THEN BY THE TOMORROW MORNING, THIS IS AROUND 4 A.M., MOST OF OUR MODELS TRY TO BRING BACK A FEW SNOW SHOWERS TO START OFF THE DAY TOMORROW AS THIS SYSTEM KIND OF WRAPS UP AND SHIFTS OFF TO THE EAST. SO SOME QUICK SHOWERS EARLY ON WEDNESDAY. AGAIN, NOT LOOKING AT MUCH ACCUMULATION AT ALL AND IT’S PRETTY MUCH DONE BY MID-MORNING OR SO. CLOUDS ARE WITH US THROUGHOUT THE DAY TOMORROW. SO IT LOOKS KIND OF LIKE A GLOOMY DAY TOMORROW AND CHILLY AND THEN THE CLOUDS WILL DEPART LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THE DAY ON THURSDAY. AND THEN WE’RE BACK TO SOME AND MORE SUNNIER WEATHER HERE AS WE HEAD CLOSER TOWARDS THE WEEKEND SO TODAY WE’RE BACK TO THE MID THIRTIES FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES. TONIGHT A COLD NIGHT AHEAD. WE DROP INTO THE TWENTIES IF NOT TEENS FOR SOME SPOTS, 23 HERE IN DES MOINES AND AMES LATER ON THIS EVENING. IT’S A COLD DAY ON WEDNESDAY. I THINK HIGHS STAY BELOW FREEZING ALL THE WAY THROUGH SATURDAY AND INTO SUNDAY. WE’VE GOT SEVERAL DAYS IN A ROW HERE WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AND THESE ARE AFTERNOON HIGHS IN THE LOW TO MID TWENTIES, OVERNIGHT LOWS DROPPING BACK INTO THE TEENS BY FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND MONDAY MORNINGS WE GET OUT OF THE TWENTIES, WE’RE BACK INTO THE THIRTIES. BY NEXT MONDAY WE’VE GOT TO WAIT ALMOST A WEEK AND THEN WE’RE TALKING FORTIES BY TUESDAY, BUT SOME WEATHER AROUND AL
