SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Multiple eastbound lanes were blocked on I-80 Thursday afternoon after a crash on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco, according to a 511 traffic alert. The left and center lanes were blocked but have reopened as of 2 p.m.

A total of 18 people were impacted by the crash, the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) told KRON4. Sixteen people, eight adults and eight juveniles, were treated at the scene for very minor injuries.

Two of the juveniles were taken to the hospital. They were taken to UCSF Mission Bay Hospital where they are both listed in stable condition.

This came after a previous announcement by the department of 18 patients with four sent to the emergency room. Officials said all injuries are not life-threatening.

A photo from the scene (above) shows one car piled on top of another in the Yerba Buena Tunnel. SFFD says residents should avoid the area and expect delays.
