Breezy Saturday With Mostly Rain

New Hampshire to see rain Saturday

Light Mix For Some Then Rain on Saturday

another round of impact weather to kick off our weekend with some rain and even some gusty winds expected later on today. Right now, it is cold enough up through the White Mountains and great North woods that there may be *** little bit of very light snow or freezing drizzle reaching the ground that could create some icy spots, especially on untreated surfaces. Now through about 10 o’clock or so, all of us warm up by around midday. That’s also when the heavier rain moves in and when the winds start to pick up out of the south, which is the chance for some scattered showers later on this afternoon and through this evening, you can already see some of that light wintry precipitation falling across northern New Hampshire now and that will continue here for the next couple of hours. Here’s our system moving in today, knows all the rain extending from the Lake Ontario area down through the capital region of pennsylvania, Washington, D. C. Parts of the virginias and Carolinas. That’s all moving in our direction here the next several hours. So we’ll call it *** wet overall. You’ll want the rain jacket umbrella handy even if it’s not raining the entirety of the day. But really midday is the time to watch that steadiest rainfall moving in here’s *** close look at that time line across the state and across northern New England Notes, some showers working in here in the next few hours with again, some of that wintry precip occurring up north, but by midday lunchtime or so. All of us are warming up with temperatures this afternoon reaching the upper forties and lower fifties, there will be some of that steady, even heavier rain possible right around midday or so with *** lull in the action expected early on this afternoon. *** few more showers move through this evening with the last area to clear out right along the seacoast by around seven or eight o’clock this evening, skies will go mostly clear tonight. There will be *** few lingering flurries and snow showers across the higher terrain of northern New Hampshire early tomorrow morning. This is not looking to be *** blockbuster rain event. Most areas pick up around *** quarter inch of rainfall though if we do see an embedded downpour, it would not surprise me if one or two spots picked up closer to *** half inch of rainfall and there’s some of your projected winds later on today, Gus 25 to 35 MPH out of the south and southwest. And then overnight the winds shift more out of the northwest. It will be gusty and cooler tomorrow. With that air mass moving in southern Canada, high temperatures will struggle to reach the upper thirties to right around 40 degrees and with the win and it will feel even *** bit colder than that more like upper twenties and lower thirties. So *** big change for our sunday will not be nearly as warm, but at least we’ll have *** little bit of sunshine return, especially late morning, early afternoon *** bright day on monday with lighter winds that should feel nice to kick off the workweek temperatures start in the mid forties. However, *** warming trend expected for Tuesday and Wednesday. However, it does come with more clouds and the chance for some rain showers.
