47-year-old man arrested in Central America

47-year-old man arrested in Central America for Omaha woman’s disappearance


The 47-year-old man sought for an Omaha woman’s disappearance was arrested in Central America, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.Authorities said Aldrick Scott was apprehended in Belize on Tuesday and will have an extradition hearing later this week.A criminal complaint charged Scott with felony kidnapping and accessory to a felony. The complaint alleged Scott kidnapped 43-year-old Cari Allen. Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine told KETV NewsWatch 7 that Scott is on his way to Houston now, then will be sent to Omaha. Allen has been missing since Nov. 20.Allen was last seen in the area of her home, near 168th and Blondo streets, on Nov. 19 around 11 p.m., according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a search warrant carried out on Nov. 21 in Topeka, Kansas, was part of the investigation into Allen’s disappearance.Douglas County wouldn’t comment on the warrant, only saying that it’s part of the investigation into Allen’s disappearance.Investigators also searched multiple locations across Douglas County, including a landfill in Bennington.The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spent several days searching the area of her home and the Douglas County landfill.
