About an hour earlier police responded to a separate deadly shooting call.

This one happened in the area of Southeast 37th Avenue and Gladstone Street in the Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood.

Officers showed up to find a victim.

They tried to save their life but that person died at the scene.

Police will release the person’s identity once their family is notified. They’re asking anyone with information on this shooting to give them a call.

Neighbors said their street is normally quiet and they’re shocked by the violence.

Adam Treanor, who lives nearby, said it’s unfortunate to think of his neighborhood as unsafe.

“I got young kids, we live in the neighborhood, so we’ve definitely seen a rise in crime,” Treanor said. “This is just another example right here.”

Treanor said holiday stress might have had something to do with the spike of violence Wednesday night.

“Gosh, I don’t know,” Treanor said. “It’s the holidays, it’s tough on everyone.”
