New Orleans police report a 15-year-old has been arrested on second-degree murder charges from a homicide on Saturday night. According to police, the 15-year-old shot and killed an 18-year-old male on the 700 block of Canal Street around 8:30 p.m. The victim was shot multiple times and was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The 15-year-old has been charged with second-degree murder, illegal carrying of a weapon, and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile. Both the victim and the suspect were found to be from the Baton Rouge metropolitan area.
