1 person killed in single-vehicle crash, coroner says

One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Spartanburg County Saturday morning, according to Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger. The Spartanburg Police Department said the crash happened on Kensington Drive near Airflow Drive shortly before 2 a.m. According to the police department, the vehicle was traveling south on Kensington Drive when it went off the road and hit a tree. Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The coroner identified the victim as 30-year-old Jeremy Marquette Barner.
